I try and have fun every now and again and this past weekend, as busy as it was, was no different.

As I was off to an early start, I had to make sure I was comfortable, yet chic for a luncheon. Before I go into that small spill, I turned a thrifted dress, a favorite of mine into a skirt (one of my normal things). Combining it with a brown tube top and some awesome antique brushed jewelry I won on eBay, and my new ring from oasap.com!

Now about the luncheon, this happened to have been my second year attending the Kwanzaa in July luncheon. It is put on every summer by the Women’s Board of the Bronzeville Children’s Museum and it is simply wonderful. Its great to see a community encouraging and building up the youth in the arts as well as education, and to reward them with such an event is astounding by all means. So, needless to say I was totally enthralled and I did enjoy myself.
